Job summary

A premier automotive apprenticeship program is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience to train as Automotive Service Technicians. Through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), participants gain hands-on experience while pursuing Kia Service Technician certification. They will diagnose and repair Kia vehicles, working in a fast-paced dealership environment. The position offers full-time employment with benefits, including a GI Bill® approved housing allowance during training.

Qualifications

• Must have an honorable discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and hand tools

Education

Honorable discharge from U.S. Military Service

Valid driver's license
