Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience to begin a career as an Automotive Service Technician. The program offers full-time employment at a Kia dealership, providing hands-on experience while completing a one-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Eligible Veterans benefit from a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) during their apprenticeship, allowing for a smooth transition into the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service staff.
