Job summary

Petco's Vetco Total Care hospital in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Concierge to be the first and last contact for clients and their pets, delivering a welcoming, compassionate experience and supporting daily hospital operations.

You will manage the appointment calendar, greet clients, coordinate with staff, and ensure waiting areas are clean and well-stocked, with training responsibilities and backup support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year in veterinary or customer-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and professional under stress.
• Exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt.
• Preferred: Experience using a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls.
• Schedule and manage appointments.
• Greet visitors and patients by name.
• Monitor wait times and assist during busy periods.
• Assist in training new staff and share knowledge.
• Keep waiting area clean and well-stocked.
• Confirm appointments by client preference.
• Provide backup support to technical staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
