Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across Medical-Surgical Telemetry units, ED, ICU, and PACU as needed. The role emphasizes critical thinking, SBAR hand-offs, and the Watson Model of Care within a 12-hour shift.

Ideal candidates have 12 months of nursing experience, EKG competence, and ideally Med/Surg/Telemetry or critical care exposure. Bilingual in Spanish plus BLS/ACLS certifications are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to Medical-Surgical Telemetry, ED, ICU or PACU as needed.
• Document care using IPOC and SBAR hand-offs.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain safety and regulatory standards.
• Support discharge planning and care coordination.
