Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to float across Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Emergency Department, ICU, and PACU as needed, providing high-quality patient care on 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 12+ months of clinical nursing experience.
• Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Basic EKG competence.
• ACLS/CCRN certifications preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to locations across shifts based on patient census.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Prioritize and organize patient care with accuracy.
• Provide age-appropriate care and apply current literature to practice.
• Demonstrate therapeutic nurse-patient relationships and hourly rounding.
• Document IPOC and SAP communications per policies.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers.
• Review orders and communicate changes in patient condition.
