Job summary

The Clinical Staff Nurse at MLK Community Healthcare provides high-quality, patient-centered care across Medical-Surgical Telemetry units and related departments, including the Emergency Department, ICU or PACU when overflow is boarded there. The role follows the Watson Model of Care and aligns with the hospital's mission and core values.

Shifts are 12 hours with location flexibility within the hospital; the nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care while supporting discharge planning

Qualifications

• RN with BSN preferred; ADN or diploma acceptable.
• Hospitals require 12 months of clinical nursing experience and exposure to Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital to provide care for Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients.
• Provide high-quality, patient/family centered care using the Watson Model of Care.
• Document care using IPOC and the Watson Model of Care.
• Coordinate with care teams to ensure discharge planning and patient safety.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Basic EKG competence

BLS

ACLS

Education

Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred
