Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a 12-hour shift setting. You will plan, direct, and coordinate care using the Watson Model of Care for a defined patient population.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of clinical nursing experience, basic life support and advanced cardiac life support certifications, and bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process to assess and plan patient care.
• Performs focused assessments and prioritizes needs.
• Delivers age-appropriate care and uses evidence in decisions.
• Documents care using IPOC and Watson Model guidelines.
• Communicates SBAR during hand-offs.
• Coordinates discharge planning with care managers.
• Maintains safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mentors staff and supports unit orientation.
