Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient-centered care on the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. You will report to the Manager and be responsible for 12-hour shifts, coordinating care, and using the Watson Model of Care to guide practice.

You will collaborate with Care Managers, participate in unit QA/QI activities, and assist with new employee orientation and system training. BLS/ACLS certs and Spanish bilingual skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma or equivalent.
• Internal MLKCH Versant Nurse Residency Program considered.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate nursing process to anticipate and plan for patient/family needs.
• Prioritize and organize care, ensuring follow-through.
• Provide age-appropriate care with current literature and critical thinking.

Education

Bachelor in Nursing degree (preferred)

Associate in Nursing / Nursing Diploma

Versant Nurse Residency Program (internal)

Bilingual skills (Spanish) - optional

Basic computer skills

Electronic Medical Record experience

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card
