Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to float across Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients, the Emergency Department, ICU or PACU as needed to balance care demand. The role emphasizes patient/family–centered care and the Watson Model of Care within a 12-hour shift framework.

Required: 12 months of clinical nursing experience; BSN preferred; BLS and ACLS; Spanish preferred. This on-site position supports the hospital mission and core values while ensuring high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN/ Diploma acceptable.
• Minimum 12 months of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout hospital to care for Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients, ED, ICU or PACU as needed.
• Provide high quality, individualized patient/family centered care using Watson Model.
• Document care, communicate changes, and participate in discharge planning.
• Maintain safety, regulatory compliance, and professional appearance.
