CommuniCare Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front and back office operations and provide patient care coordination in a busy primary health care setting.

You will administer injections, perform EKGs and screenings, collect histories and vital signs, and ensure accurate documentation and cash handling at day end. Strong computer skills and BLS certification are required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience as a Medical Assistant and/or a Medical Assistant Diploma and/or a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Experience with EMR/EHR preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable of personal computers.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change.

Mansioni

• Assists with day-to-day operations of front and back office and coordinates referrals and patient communication.
• Administers injections and assists with non-invasive and direct patient care procedures such as EKGs and screenings.
• Obtains patient medical history, vital signs, and ensures quality metrics are documented.
• Maintains inventory of medical supplies and ensures equipment calibration, charging and cleaning.
• Registers patients, updates demographics, verifies insurance plans, and posts encounter data.
• Performs end-of-day reconciliation of cash reports and secures deposits.
• Prepares for next day by scheduling appointments and screening for program eligibility.
• Provides exceptional customer service and assists other departments as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
