CommuniCare Health Center Careers is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA3823 - Metro Specialty) to support front and back office operations and assist with injections, EKGs, and patient screenings.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year as a Medical Assistant, a high school diploma or MA diploma/certification, EMR/EHR experience, and BLS certification. Travel to other clinic sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant or MA diploma/certification.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to travel to other clinic sites as needed.
• Scheduled hours/locations are subject to change.

Responsabilités

• Assists with day-to-day front and back office operations; coordinates referrals and patient communication.
• Administers injections, assists with non-invasive and direct patient care procedures (EKGs, screenings).
• Obtains patient history, vital signs; documents data for audits and regulatory needs.
• Maintains inventory of supplies; ensures equipment is calibrated and stocked.
• Registers patients and updates demographics; verifies insurance and posts encounter data.
• Performs end-of-day reconciliation; ensures cash handling procedures.
• Prepares for next-day clinic; pre-registers patients and screens for program eligibility.
• Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
