Job summary

Camden Property Trust in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for community maintenance requests, make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and preventative maintenance. The role emphasizes customer service and teamwork to create exceptional resident experiences.

You will respond to service requests, coordinate with the supervisor, perform safety checks, handle electrical and plumbing tasks, and assist with housekeeping and common-area upkeep.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience in the apartment industry preferred.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade school certification highly desired.
• EPA Type I, II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of maintenance-related technical skills.
• Handle tile work, carpentry, and make-ready processes.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Possess dependable transportation and rotating on-call availability.
• Able to work weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report or correct them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the community.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in; complete repairs or replacements.
• Maintain community appearance; replace lightbulbs, remove trash, paint, and repair as needed.
• Accurately document service requests and make-readies in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, and other tasks as needed.
