Job summary

Camden Property Trust in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for handling service requests at our community. You will be a customer-focused team player tackling make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance and preventative tasks to keep the property in top condition.

The role requires hands-on skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, with dependability and flexibility for weekends/holidays, and the ability to document work in our maintenance system.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems relevant to apartment maintenance.
• Tile work, carpentry repairs and make-ready tasks are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests promptly.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report or correct them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete necessary repairs.
• Maintain community appearance including lighting, trash removal, painting and repairs.
• Record service requests and maintenance in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, inspections and other tasks.
