Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician for our Orlando, FL community. This role handles maintenance requests, make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and preventative tasks, delivering exceptional resident experiences through responsive, customer-focused service.

You will work with the maintenance supervisor, address safety concerns, keep Onesite records, perform electrical/plumbing work, and assist with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in apartment industry.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade school certification highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Knowledge of technical skills as it relates to apartment maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and all facets of the make ready process.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and all other systems at the community.
• Must have dependable transportation to/from work and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests promptly.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report or correct them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs.
• Ensure upkeep of community by replacing lightbulbs, removing trash, painting, and repairs.
• Record service details in Onesite for requests, PM, and make-readies.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, inspections, and other tasks.
