Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs across building systems, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Under supervision, you will respond to requests, document work and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Responsibilities include installing equipment, reading blueprints, applying safety standards, assisting other trades, handling emergencies, updating drawings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of maintenance experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 General Industry Safety certification required within probationary period.
• Associates/technical degree in skilled trades is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair building systems (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Respond to emergencies and document work orders.
• Read blueprints and update drawings; ensure safety standards.
