Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Building Systems Technician for the Administration and Planning area within FOD Operations. Under supervision, you will perform intermediate tasks to ensure safe operation of mechanical and utility systems, respond to emergencies, and provide building support; shift Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m.; 40 hours weekly. The position offers a stable schedule and requires OSHA/EPA certifications and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EPA Section 608 Technician Certification - Universal.
OSHA 10-hour General Industry Safety and Health certification.
Minimum four years of experience in building systems operations, maintenance, and/or HVAC/building automation.

Responsibilities

Provide building support services and inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair/replace building systems and equipment.
Respond to emergencies and evaluate/correct issues with electrical, mechanical, or medical gas systems.
Follow safety practices, document activities, and communicate with customers, coworkers and supervision.
Assist other trades as needed; operate department vehicles.
