Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Facilities Building Systems Technician for the Administration and Planning | FOD Operations. Under supervision you will perform intermediate tasks to keep mechanical and utilities systems safe and operational, inspect and repair equipment, and support indoor air quality.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, calibrating and replacing components, coordinating with other trades, maintaining documentation, and providing high levels of customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent with math proficiency.
• EPA 608 Universal technician certification required within probation.
• OSHA 10-hour General Industry safety training required within probation.
• Minimum four years in building systems operations or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot building systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergency electrical/mechanical/medical gas disruptions.
• Calibrate, repair or replace building systems as needed.
• Provide high level of customer service and documentation.
• Work with other trades and follow safety procedures.
• Operate department vehicles as required.
