Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a Facilities Building Systems Technician for the Central Service Building to perform intermediate maintenance on HVAC, building automation, and critical systems. Under supervision, you will inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You'll respond to emergencies, follow CCS specs, complete documentation, and coordinate with other trades.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Algebra and geometry proficiency.
Minimum four years’ experience in building systems operations, commercial/industrial building maintenance, and/or HVAC and building automation systems or equivalent.
EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Universal and valid OSHA 10-hour General Industry Safety and Health card.

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair/replace building systems and equipment.
Respond to emergency situations and evaluate/correct problems.
Initiate appropriate protocols when problems cannot be resolved.
Assist other trades; follow safety practices and procedures; maintain clean work areas and equipment.
Communicate with customers, coworkers and supervision via written, electronic and verbal methods.
