Job summary

Escapology of Merrimack Valley in Tewksbury, MA seeks a hands-on Venue Manager to lead daily operations, host guests, coach a 10–15 person team, and oversee events. This is a full-time role with quarterly bonus potential.

You’ll hire, train, schedule, manage customer questions, and ensure safety, inventory, and maintenance while keeping to franchise standards and delivering memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have reliable transportation.
• TIPS certification or willing to complete company-provided training.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Employment subject to background check and/or CORI screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily venue operations and create a fun, welcoming experience for guests and employees.
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop a team of approximately 10–15 employees.
• Address employee performance concerns and take disciplinary action with HR support.
• Independently open and close the venue following security, cash-handling and safety procedures.
• Ensure shifts are covered and fill open shifts when needed.
• Book, coordinate, and oversee private events from planning to completion.
• Respond to guest questions, complaints, emails, phone calls, and reservations.
• Manage online guest reviews and coach the team on review-worthy experiences.
• Monitor labor, sales, guest counts, costs, and other operating metrics.
• Maintain inventory and purchase beverages, merchandise, cleaning products and supplies.
• Keep games, props, puzzles and the facility operating to franchise standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and escalate more advanced issues as needed.
• Support local marketing events and promote additional games and events.
• Work alongside team by game mastering, resetting rooms, assisting guests, and serving beverages.
