Job summary

Alumni Ventures seeks a Community Manager to support our investor community and gain hands-on exposure to venture capital, investor relations, and fund operations. The role sits at the intersection of customer success, relationship management, investor communications, and financial services, collaborating with Managing Partners and cross-functional teams to support fundraising and engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as customer success, client services, or account management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and provide thoughtful support to customers or stakeholders.
• Ability to learn and effectively use new systems and processes.
• Interest in investing, venture capital, financial markets, startups, or related topics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for prospective and existing investors and respond to questions via email, phone, webinars, events, and other channels.
• Build strong relationships with investors and internal stakeholders and deliver a high-touch, service-oriented experience across the investor journey.
• Anticipate needs, identify issues, and help resolve questions with professionalism and empathy.
• Support investor onboarding and ongoing engagement efforts, including fundraising initiatives and club programs.
• Track engagement activity and key metrics, maintain clean data in CRM systems, and support leadership reporting.
• Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives, taking on more ownership as you grow.
