Job summary

Alumni Ventures is seeking an Associate Community Manager to support our investor community and gain hands-on exposure to venture capital, investor relations, and fund operations.

You’ll work at the intersection of customer success, relationship management, and investor communications, collaborating with investors, Managing Partners, and cross-functional teams to support fundraising and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer-facing roles or similar.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and support customers or stakeholders.
• Ability to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
• Interest in investing, venture capital, startups, or related topics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day contact for prospective and existing investors.
• Respond to investor questions via email, phone, webinars, events, and other channels.
• Provide timely, accurate and thoughtful support using approved resources and internal playbooks.
• Help investors navigate AV's offerings, processes, and community experience.
• Build relationships with investors and internal stakeholders; deliver high-touch service across the investor journey.
• Collaborate with Managing Partners, Community Managers, and leaders on fundraising initiatives and investor engagement.
• Assist with virtual events, meetings, webinars, and follow-up activities.
• Track engagement activity and metrics; maintain clean data in internal systems; support reporting.
• Participate in strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives.
