Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will be responsible for hands-on patient care, education, and coordinating with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure (RRT or related)
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all serviced states
• CPR certification
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators
• Perform clinical assessments and review patient records and care plans
• Discharge planning and home-transition coordination for ventilator-dependent patients
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator units and equipment use
• Provide clinical follow up with physicians and referral sources
• Document all patient care activities in company systems
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with peers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
