Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role combines hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, clinical assessments, discharge planning, and training for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure or as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Support discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Demonstrate and instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator use.
