AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate settings. The role combines hands-on care, education, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all serviced states.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform assessments and relay findings to physicians.
• Participate in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on vent units and supplies.
• Document care activities accurately per standards.
• Ensure HIPAA, PPE and safety compliance.
• Support program development and education with referrals.
