Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator-exposed patients or as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform clinical assessments; communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients with smooth home transitions.
• Instruct patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator use.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ongoing compliance training.
