Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role combines hands-on care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

The position involves travel, clinical follow-up with physicians, and participation in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure in respiratory care.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Discharge planning and home setting transitions for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator use.
