Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a detail-oriented vendor oversight specialist to monitor an existing network of third-party service providers and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The role includes due diligence for new vendors, ongoing oversight, and timely communication with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in financial services, mortgage servicing, auditing, compliance or vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee large volumes of documentation for vendor annual reviews.
• Monitor and conduct first level review of vendor compliance documents.
• Manage ongoing oversight of an assigned pool of third-party vendors and escalate risks.
• Maintain Vendor Management Department inbox and handle inquiries.
• Coordinate vendor invoices and ensure timely notifications and updates.
• Escalate issues to leadership when unresolved.
• Perform due diligence on new vendors and submit for approval.
• Communicate status updates to vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Review FNMA/FHLMC documentation for compliance and update status.
• Ensure internal system records are current and accurate.
• Respond to site audit exceptions and track remediation plans.
• Support processing vendor communications and acknowledgments.
• Research potential new service providers to meet business needs.
• Log consumer complaints and coordinate remediation with business areas.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
