Job summary

Macy's is hiring an Ambassador to connect with customers, share vendor product knowledge, and upsell while building loyal clientele. You will collaborate with personal stylists, designers, and store leadership to drive sales and merchandising initiatives across the vendor/brand area.

Full-time schedule, 30+ hours per week, with varied shifts. You will represent Macy's, deliver exceptional service, and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive team with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year previous selling or retail experience required.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular attendance.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority.
• Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell.
• Serve as a liaison between designated vendors and the personal stylists and store leadership.
• Ensure sales floor is neat, clean, and properly signed for sales and markdowns.
• Create and implement best practices to drive sales, turn, and gross margin above company average.
• Build brand-specific clientele to support local marketing.
• Execute vendor and non-vendor events to increase sales.
• Plan, organize, and lead customer facing vendor sponsored events with partnership of vendor community.
• Be proficient in Macy's point of sale systems and company devices to wrap up sales.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues and customers.
