Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Vending Services supervisor to plan, coordinate, and oversee Exchange-owned and contracted vending operations. You will manage procurement, inventory, financials, and personnel to meet performance goals.

The role requires strong leadership, loss prevention focus, on-site supervision, and travel within the district. You will implement controls, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in merchandising, technical or other responsible work enabling knowledge of merchandising and procurement practices.
• One year of related academic study above high school level may substitute for 9 months of experience.
• One year of responsible experience in merchandising operations, vending maintenance, inventory control, customer service, safety measures, or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and supervises all facets of Exchange-owned and contracted vending operations.
• Manages net contribution goals through control of product, cash, personnel, equipment, security, expenses and records.
• Implements inventory control, replenishment systems and preventive maintenance for vending machines and fleets.
• Analyzes vending reports and ensures sales and profit goals; coordinates merchandising strategies with area Exchanges.
• Prepares reports on cash handling, vendor performance and operation data; establishes internal controls.
