Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV innovator, seeks a Test Engineer to drive software integration for vehicle ECUs and ADAS firmware. You will bridge software and hardware, validate communications, and troubleshoot network issues across CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and DoIP.

The role emphasizes hands-on use of Vector tools (CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer), Wireshark, and calibration workflows, with a focus on SIL/HIL and vehicle-level validation in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of automotive software integration, HIL/SIL testing, or embedded firmware validation.
• Proven experience with Vector toolchain for measurement, calibration, and simulation.
• Strong network diagnostics with Wireshark, tcpdump, and CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, UDS, XCP.
• Fluent Python and C/C++ for test automation; familiarity with Embedded Linux and ROS2/DDS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Software Validation & Integration across ECUs, sensors, and vehicle platforms; support SIL, HIL, and vehicle-level testing.
• Network Simulation & Analysis using CANoe/CANalyzer to monitor bus traffic and debug CAN networks.
• Calibration & Measurement with CANape and XCP; offline data analysis with vSignalyzer.
• Analyze logs and traces with Wireshark to troubleshoot SOME/IP, DoIP, UDP, and TCP over vehicle Ethernet.
• Program and calibrate parameter sets with RaptorCAL for production ECUs.
• Profile CPU, memory, and task scheduling to optimize embedded software performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis using logs, traces, and replay systems to identify issues.
