Job summary

Harbinger Motors in California seeks a Software Integration Engineer to lead ADAS firmware integration, optimize stack performance, and coordinate with external firmware partners. You will ensure software quality across ECUs, sensors, and vehicle platforms while bringing up embedded Linux environments and automotive networks.

The role requires strong C/C++ and Python skills, with experience in CAN/CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, and ROS2/DDS.

Qualifications

• Firmware development experience with microcontrollers.
• End-to-end project leadership experience.
• Strong performance profiling skills.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with Embedded Linux development and debugging.
• Networking knowledge: CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, UDP/TCP.
• Familiarity with ROS2 / DDS.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern build systems.
• Knowledge of debugging tools: Wireshark, CANoe, CANalyzer, GDB, tcpdump.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain software components and interfaces for ADAS firmware.
• Perform CPU and memory profiling to monitor stack performance.
• Lead integration projects end-to-end with autonomy.
• Integrate and validate ADAS software across ECUs, sensors, and platforms.
• Bring up embedded Linux and automotive software stacks.
• Debug CAN, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP networks.
• Support software releases, deployment, and vehicle integration activities.
• Develop test and validation frameworks using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feature readiness.
• Maintain release management processes and documentation.
