Job summary

Harbinger seeks a Software Test Engineer focused on Telematics to validate our connectivity suite, including the TCU, ECUs, and vehicle-to-cloud APIs. You will ensure reliable and secure OTA updates, data flow, and command execution.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive software testing, strong Python automation skills, and experience with CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, and cloud APIs. Based in the US, on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of automotive software testing experience, specifically with TCUs or ECUs.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for Telematics and Infotainment systems.
• Validate Telematics Control Units, cellular connectivity, GPS, and data logging.
• Test cloud-based APIs and data transmission between vehicle and cloud.
• Design and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Pytest.
• Monitor vehicle bus traffic using CANoe/Vehicle Spy and analyze edge cases.
• Work with HIL environments (dSPACE/Speedgoat) for realistic testing.
• Document defects and collaborate with firmware and cloud teams for resolution.
