Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America (MBRDNA) is seeking a seasoned software engineer to develop, verify, and document ADAS software packages and enable V&V activities across ECUs and development vehicles. You will flash ECUs, verify vehicle readiness, and perform test drives, working with limited supervision and coordinating with global teams.

The role emphasizes strong debugging, signal analysis, and cross-functional collaboration on CAN, CANoe, Wireshark, and automated triage

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, Electrical or related field.
3+ years of relevant work experience.
Proficient in software development with C++, Python, and Bash.
Experience with debugging and analysis tools like CANoe, Wireshark.
Experience in development/validation of embedded automotive systems.
Knowledge about ADAS/L2-L3 functions and automotive communications (CAN, Ethernet).
Understanding of build systems and compute platforms.

Responsibilities

Integrate software packages into computing platforms (QNX, Linux).
Understand the software architecture of the ADAS stack.
Debug issues in ADAS-vehicle ECU communication via signal-chain analysis.
Drive root-cause analysis across complex signal chains on bus level using CANoe, Wireshark, etc.
Implement automation to triage and analyze to improve team processes.
Collaborate with international teams and external partners.
Understand and integrate software release planning and milestones.
