Job summary

Ford is seeking a New Model Introduction Supervisor to lead launches of new vehicle and powertrain models. You will drive on-time, on-budget launches with target quality, mentor a team of launch engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across North America.

Expect responsibility for design change approvals, production readiness, risk mitigation, and reporting to senior leadership up to the Director level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in Powertrain/Vehicle Operations manufacturing, design, and/or program management, with PM or launch experience.
• 4+ years demonstrating understanding of processes to bring new vehicle models from development into full-scale production.
• Experience with Engineering Change Management and Issue Management.
• Experience with problem solving disciplines using statistical mindsets.

Responsibilities

• Budget management to keep launches within allocated budget.
• Oversee pre-production activities up to prototype builds and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Review and approve design changes throughout development lifecycle.
• Ensure facilities and resources are available for on-site launch team.
• Manage an issue tracking system to resolve launch-impacting problems.
• Incorporate customer feedback from early feedback vehicles before launch.
• Lead Open to Go and PPAP readiness processes for part pedigree and deviations.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies for parts not yet at full production quality.
• Coordinate and lead on-site launch meetings and deliver launch reviews.
• Promote adherence to Launch Quality Standards (LQOS).
• Provide team leadership and resource planning across programs.
