Ford Motor Company in Livonia, MI is seeking a Pre-Program Strategy and Implementation Engineer to lead powertrain projects from concept through release, coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and development teams to minimize complexity and meet vehicle targets.

You will drive make vs buy analyses, set timelines and budgets, develop strategies for BEV and Hybrid programs, and ensure quality, weight and cost goals while delivering on program milestones in a fast-evolving mobility

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of transmission or power unit development experience.

Responsibilities

• Launch new powertrain architectures through the unit approval process.
• Develop strategies for complexity vs carryover content.
• Lead make/buy decisions to meet program targets with minimal complexity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program execution, quality and speed.
• Coordinate with manufacturing plants to align content with footprint allocations.
• Provide estimates and review actuals for cost and timing of externally purchased vs internally built units.
