Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Vehicle Operations Specialist to support the Delivery & Field Operations team in Charlotte, NC. This onsite role involves receiving and processing inventory, detailing vehicles, and ensuring delivery readiness with strong cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ year in operations/logistics or lot management, a valid driver’s license, ability to work flexible hours, and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in operations or logistics
• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
• Valid driver’s license in residence state
• No major driving violations in recent years; MVR monitoring may apply
• Ability to obtain local sales licenses if applicable

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and process incoming inventory, including completing paperwork
• Ensure quality standards through washing vehicles, detailing, and correction activities
• Maintain the delivery readiness of vehicles
• Conduct quality control of delivery ready vehicles and communicate defects to service
• Organize and maintain secure key management for vehicle inventory
• Maintain inventory lot and safe drive lanes
• Shuttling vehicles to/from secondary locations including customer and fleet vehicles
• Maintain adequate inventory of essential supplies
• Prepare, inspect, and stage customer trade-ins for remarketing to be transported to the auction via carrier
• Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly audit processes
• Work cross-functionally with proper communication and collaboratively with other teams onsite and remote
• Participates in workshops that improve quality and efficiency with guidance from leads/managers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal business platforms
• Complete additional work and tasks as requested by leadership
