Job summary

Cox Automotive in Birmingham, AL seeks a supervisor to orient and instruct drivers, assign tasks, and ensure smooth vehicle flow. You will coordinate with management to maintain logs and ensure timely vehicle movement.

This role requires a HS Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience or 5 years in a related field, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to work overtime. You’ll lead a team and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience, or 5 years in related discipline.
• Valid driver's license required; safe driving needed.

Responsibilities

• Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties and assist supervisor in assigning and directing the work of employees.
• Communicate with supervisor or manager to assure proper flow of vehicles and maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.
• Communicate schedules and assignments to the crew members.
• Completing work orders and other vehicle documentation.
• Imaging of vehicles before and after Detail completion.
• Keeping tools and equipment in excellent shape.
• Prepping, cleaning, washing and waxing cars.
• Pick-up and drop-off employees and other Auction personnel to/from the Auction, parking lots, dealerships, customer locations/businesses, and other locations.
• Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van and clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Demonstrate safety commitment and follow safety procedures; support Safety Excellence activities.
• Review work volumes with manager and plan staffing for efficiency and quality customer service; monitor KPIs and plan improvements.
• Lead the team at the location by modeling Cox/Manheim values and respectful conduct.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
