Job summary

Cox in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist to facilitate transportation of customer vehicles within an assigned region. You will verify vehicle status by phone, manage regional emails, correct data, and process orders in the AS400 system.

You will monitor holds, negotiate dispatch, and support margin growth while building strong relationships with carriers and the Manheim Auction team. A background in administration with automotive exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years administrative experience (in automotive industry preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment to deliver results.
• Excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
• High attention to detail including precise data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and valid Driver's License with ability to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in making real time phone calls to verify vehicle status with pickup sites.
• Monitor and correct master data files for location errors.
• Manage email boxes for multiple locations and collaborate on regional emails.
• Request Hold Harmless/Releases.
• Process Fees and post assessorial charges to record.
• Enter all manual orders and process other AS400 system orders.
• Investigate kickback of VINs by carriers to re-dispatch units.
• Manage escalated Client Succes VINs with peers and agents.
• Monitor holds and verification delays.
• Dispatch negotiation and understand sales tactics to increase margin.
• Action AutoIMS for Trans Delay Holds, Cancellations, ETAs.
• Follow up with carriers on VINs daily.
• Hold carriers accountable to their plan.
• Create and manage corrective action of a vendor.
• Monitor order entry failures and correct.
• Understand margin relative to position and track margin requirements.
• Build relationship with Manheim Auction commercial team and management.
• Measure performance and report results for management and executives.
• Compile vehicle transportation data and generate reports.
• Follow all duties as directed by supervisor.
• Be an outside the box thinker who can solve problems quickly.
