Job summary

Cox is seeking a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist to facilitate vehicle transportation within an assigned region. You will verify vehicle status with pickup sites and manage data accuracy across multiple locations.

The role requires 1–3 years of administrative experience, proficiency with MS Office and AS400, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and background check are required. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years administrative experience (in automotive industry preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment to execute and deliver results.
• Excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
• High attention to detail including precise data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to pass a background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Make real time phone calls through the recorded line to verify vehicle status with pickup sites.
• Monitor and correct master data files for location errors.
• Manage email boxes for multiple locations and collaborate on regional emails.
• Request Hold Harmless/Releases.
• Process fees and post assessorial charges to record.
• Enter all manual orders and process other AS400 system orders.
• Investigate VIN kickbacks by carriers to re-dispatch units.
• Manage escalated VINs with peers and agents.
• Monitor holds and verification delays.
• Dispatch negotiation and understand sales tactics to increase margin.
• Use AutoIMS for Trans Delay Holds, Cancellations, ETA's.
• Follow up with carriers on VINs daily.
• Hold carriers accountable to their plan.
• Create and manage corrective action of a vendor.
• Monitor order entry failures and correct.
• Understand margin relative to position and track margin requirements.
• Build relationships with Manheim Auction commercial team.
• Measure performance through analytics for clients and vendors.
• Report performance results for management and executives.
• Compile vehicle transportation data and generate reports.
• Follow all job duties as directed by supervisor.
• Be an outside the box thinker who can solve problems quickly.
