Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring for a Lot Operations Specialist II to organize and move vehicles at a Cox location in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and accurate vehicle routing while following all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing daily information, coordinating movements, and ensuring vehicles are drivable or arranged for service. Candidates should meet education/experience requirements and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of related work experience
• OR any degree or certification above a High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year of related work experience
• OR 5 years of related work experience

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicles organized and parked in the correct locations within your assigned area
• Review daily work information from supervisors and company systems to determine which vehicles need to be moved and where they should go
• Help improve safety and efficiency by identifying better ways to move and organize vehicles
• Move vehicles safely to the correct locations so work can be completed efficiently and unnecessary vehicle moves are avoided
• Check that vehicles can be driven safely
• Report vehicles that cannot be driven and arrange for service or towing when needed
• Apply sale and routing labels to vehicles to ensure they can be easily identified and sent to the correct destination
• Communicate with supervisors, crew leaders, and managers about vehicle inventory levels and help determine movement priorities
• Demonstrate company values by treating customers and coworkers with professionalism and respect
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to workplace conduct and customer interactions
• Follow all safety rules and serve as a positive example of safe work practices
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
