Job summary

Cox Automotive in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist to facilitate transportation of customer vehicles within an assigned region. You will verify vehicle status with pickup sites via a recorded line, manage data accuracy, and coordinate with multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years administrative experience, automotive industry preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment and deliver results.
• Excellent customer service and multitasking skills.
• High attention to detail and precise data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug tests.
• Preferred: some college; 1+ year in transportation field or automotive auction; 1+ year in sales or call center.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle status via real time calls to pickup sites.
• Monitor and correct master data files for location errors.
• Manage regional email boxes and collaborate on regional emails.
• Process fees and post charges to records.
• Enter manual orders and process AS400 orders.
• Investigate VIN kickbacks by carriers for re-dispatch.
• Manage escalated VINs with peers and agents.
• Monitor holds and verification delays; dispatch negotiations.
• Utilize AutoIMS for delays, holds, and cancellations.
• Follow up with carriers daily and hold them accountable to plans.
• Create corrective action plans for vendors; measure analytics for clients and vendors.
• Report performance results to high level management.
• Compile transportation data and generate reports.
• Additional duties as directed by supervisor.
