Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a VDC Engineer to support the Project Team and mentor BIM Engineers. This on-site role focuses on model management, VDC coordination across design and field teams, and implementing project execution plans.

You will coordinate multiple disciplines, ensure model quality, and contribute to field technology deployment while working with operations and design teams at a designated location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering required.
• Proficiency with BIM tools and CAD programs (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with BIM/VDC processes and coordination.
• Experience with BIM systems (Revit, Synchro, Navisworks, SketchUp).
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
• Self‑starter with organizational skills and creativity.
• Preferred: 3+ years in building or design industry.

Responsibilities

• Support VDC coordination between design, engineering, trades, and operations.
• Manage models and enforce VDC schedules and plans.
• Coordinate architectural, MEPTF, structural, civil components.
• Identify and resolve clash detections and design issues.
• Quality assurance of model reliability and content.
• Assist with field layout principles and 3D coordination efforts.
