Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC seeks a Virtual Design & Construction Project Engineer to join our project team. You will support model management and coordinate among clients, trade partners, project engineers, field engineers, architects, and our employees to leverage the BIM data lifecycle from design through turnover.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience as a VDC engineer/coordinator or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with BIM software including Revit, ACC, Navisworks, Fuzor, and SketchUp.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support model coordination with Architectural, MEPTF, Civil, and other disciplines, coordinating with project superintendents on site utilization and logistics.
• Enforce the BIM coordination plan and schedule.
• Oversee reality capture including 360 photo documentation and aerial (drone) operations.
• Collaborate with the VDC Manager to design and implement VDC strategies through design, construction, and facilities management.
• Assist internal departments to understand and implement VDC processes.
• Identify constructability issues and missing model information; notify stakeholders and manage RFIs to resolve issues.
• Represent Clark by presenting VDC work to clients and industry groups.
• Monitor BIM workflows, QA/QC, and value proposition; support implementation of VDC goals.
• Review and oversee the VDC project setup process, including laser scans and sUAS data integration.
• Facilitate BIM meetings and MEPT coordination sessions.
• Engage with job sites to understand and apply VDC implementations.
• Foster collaboration among VDC personnel and share best practices.
