Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks a Lead VDC Engineer to manage building information models and drive VDC execution on large commercial projects. You will coordinate with on-site BIM teams and operations to implement the project’s VDC plan and ensure model quality.

The role requires a 4-year degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture, or construction management and 3–5 years of relevant experience. This is a full-time, on-site position at a designated location with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture or construction management.
• 3-5 years' experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction documents and 3D modeling.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Navisworks and 3D authoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project VDC execution plans with project managers.
• Coordinate with on-site VDC engineers, BIM engineers and operations.
• Ensure model quality, data integrity and schedule alignment.
• Support project with 4D/5D/6D coordination and technology adoption.
• Assist with model archiving from preconstruction through post‑construction.
