Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment is recruiting for a VDC Engineer to support the company’s BIM initiatives across Virginia and the Carolinas. The role reports to the VDC Manager and focuses on coordinating multiple projects using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and related BIM tools.

The candidate will develop BIM Execution Plans, lead coordination meetings, and ensure issue resolution with stakeholders while traveling to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of VDC/BIM experience.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and coordination skills within project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM Execution Plans and BIM coordination schedules.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
• Conduct clash detection and clash avoidance using Navisworks.
• Identify, track, and assign coordination issues to responsible parties.
• Interpret contract documents and review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Create and modify Revit content to support the BIM coordination process.
• Document BIM-related events and lessons learned for process improvement.
• Support the development of the company’s VDC portfolio and marketing materials.
• Provide BIM/VDC training and support to project staff.
• Work with project teams throughout preconstruction and construction phases.
• Travel to project sites as required.
