Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced VDC professional to lead and coordinate virtual design and construction efforts on a project site in Philadelphia, collaborating with stakeholders, Trades, and design partners. The role focuses on BIM coordination, model reviews, and implementing VDC workflows.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) plus scripting (Dynamo, Python) and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related field, with minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent
• Attain and maintain CM-BIM designation, preferred
• Able to read and interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, scopes, and schedules
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and specs related to VDC
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to engage with stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic scripting/coding skills (Dynamo, Python)
• Proficient with BIM tools: Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD; familiarity with Lumion or Twin Motion is a plus
• Willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC processes and review design models for construction projects on site
• Coordinate VDC meetings, manage files and document control
• Run BIM coordination meetings, track actions and communicate with the VDC team
• Perform VDC tasks including BIM coordination, submittals, and RFIs
• Prepare quantity variance reports for estimating and change management
• Develop on-site presence to resolve constructability issues with stakeholders
• Collaborate to execute BIM execution plans and VDC workflows
• Explore model-based takeoffs, estimating practices, 4D modeling, VR/AR, and other VDC services
• Identify value and deploy innovative VDC tools in controlled environments
• Support continuous improvement and capture lessons learned
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
