Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company in Tempe, AZ is seeking a field-based sales professional to drive the full BDPI product line with current and new accounts. You will manage pricing, backorders, and policies, and conduct in-service trainings for clinicians and staff, planning efficient sales calls and building deep product knowledge.

You will inform leadership of market changes and competitive activity, resolve customer issues promptly, analyze needs, and maintain company assets.

Qualifications

• Product knowledge and all features/benefits of BDPI products
• Surgical procedure knowledge to illustrate BDPI benefits
• Basic anatomy understanding
• Medical and surgical terminology familiarity
• Thorough needs/analysis selling skills
• Excellent listening and communication abilities
• Understanding of contract administration

Responsibilities

• Sells the entire product line to current and new accounts, informing customers of pricing, backorders, and policies
• Executes comprehensive in-service training of products for all concerned individuals
• Plans and manages sales calls efficiently over time
• Develops thorough knowledge of all products and clinical data
• Informs Regional Manager of significant market changes and competitive activity
• Achieves prompt, mutually satisfactory solutions to customer complaints
• Analyzes customer needs and creates tailored solutions
• Maintains company automobile and company property
• Completes and processes BDPI reports (sales summaries, expense reports, product tracking, account targeting, complaint reports) according to policies and procedures
