Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a meticulous Vascular Surgery Scheduler to join our Billings Downtown Clinic. You will manage the surgery calendar, coordinate patient registrations, and ensure pre-certifications are complete, enabling smooth pathway to procedures.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and computer skills, with a 40-hour workweek Monday to Thursday 8:0am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm. Join a team that values compassionate care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of related healthcare scheduling experience preferred.
• Excellent customer skills and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the surgery schedule and shares information with patients and physicians.
• Registers and schedules appointments per availability.
• Pre-certification of insurance approvals for procedures.
• Ensures pre-operative tests are scheduled and completed.
• Coordinates equipment, room, and pre-surgery medications.
• Communicates surgery prep instructions to patients.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as directed.
• Screens calls for date changes and cancellations.
• Escalates non-routine issues to the practice manager.
• Greets patients and handles calls while documenting in EMR.
• Schedules visits, procedures, tests, referrals, consultations.
• Registers patients and verifies demographic and insurance data.
