Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Scheduler for provider surgery and hospital procedure scheduling in Las Vegas, NV. You will manage pre‑op coordination, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and coordinate with nursing and hospital staff.

Responsibilities include scheduling, rescheduling, billing follow ups, and ensuring CPT/ICD codes are used for approvals. Strong EMR skills and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical registration, billing, collection, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules.
• Maintains changes, cancellations, rescheduling and follow up on schedules.
• Obtains authorization for surgeries by researching coverage and prior auth.
• Verifies eligibility and benefits.
• Coordinates referral for patients that will go out of network.
• Coordinate with providers and hospital staff on equipment and supplies.
