Job summary

HarmonyCares is seeking a Full-time salaried Physician Leader to oversee clinical pods with APP direct reports in Michigan. The role balances hands-on patient care Monday–Friday with administrative duties, including oversight of quality metrics and care plans.

The leader will supervise APPs, collaborate with the Market Manager, and drive clinical development while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
• Completion of an accredited Residency Program.
• Unrestricted Medical License.
• Board certification is required for all newly hired or promoted on or after January 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site supervising Physician for assigned APPs and POD; ensure collaborative Practice agreements comply with state regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical team members associated with pod (APPs, CHWs, Nurse Navigators, Care Managers).
• Develop and participate in APP clinical development (evidenced-based care, professionalism).
• Lead and participate in high-risk huddles and ensure care plans include all care management team members.
• Sign orders on behalf of APPs as regulated by state; conduct chart audits and monitor quality metrics (HEDIS).
• Assist with compliance, HR resolutions, and performance reviews for direct reports.
